The First Interview
All morning I did every relaxation technique I could think of. Meanwhile my husband was as cool as a cucumber. We arrived 5 minutes early to the social service offices and they saw us right away. The temperature of the room was frigid, thank God that the ladies doing the interview were warm and caring. For about 45 minutes the psychologist and the social worker asked us questions. DaRonn said it was the easiest interview because all we had to do was talk about ourselves. I don’t know why I was so nervous. Now that this first interview is under our belt I can say that I think it went very well. Next Tuesday at 10 AM we go back for another interview. Then we will schedule the home visit and the individual interviews. I will bring a jacket next week so I am not shivering the whole time. Though, it was nice to have an excuse to hold DaRonn’s hand.

i think i’d be nervous too. totally understandable, gigi. i’m glad it went well. hope that your heart is set more at ease for the rest of the process…
I can understand the nervousness. If it wasn’t something that had ‘built up’ over so many months, it probably wouldn’t have been so stressful.
I’m sorry it was cold! That’s one thing I really dislike about indoors. People always like it SO cold! brrr.
Here in Cochabamba people do not use climate control for their buildings. So now that we are in the winter months it is just drafty everywhere.
Oh …. I see. Up here in the ole MN people just like it 65 degrees year-round. It gets irritating. Don’t these people like summertime????!?!? I specifically won’t turn the AC on in my car until it’s brutal and suffocating, and am spending as much time outdoors as I can just to enjoy some amount of warmth! We wait SO long for summer, and then .. spend all our time indoors with the AC on at 65. !!!!! I don’t get that.
Glad all went well, Angie!
I’m always cold indoors during the summer. The AC is cranked up and I feel like I need a sweater! Except at home where it is usually a cozy 76 degrees.
76. Ah, lovely.
My hubby keeps pushing it closer to 70. :( I’m trying to persuade him. Does he want me wearing sweaters in the summertime? lol.
I’m so glad to hear that it went well AND that it’s moving so quickly!! YEAH!!! How incredibly exciting!! You’re now entering that “uncomfortable – I can’t sleep” stage of your pregnancy!! :o)
Before you know it your water will break!!
Big, big hugs!
i’m glad it went well…and thats its over!
Thank God for His favour :-)
I would be nervous, too. Which I think is normal considering that this interview has wide ranging consequences.
So, you were cold, while holding the hand of the “cool cucumber”? No wonder. ;-)
Good one, Jutta! That made me smile. :-)
