Cochabamba Street Art – Installation Jesus

1. “God is Love” – in English. Interesting.

2. “Jesus” – the interpretation is much appreciated.

3. “King Jesus and Salvation” – the small writing is a mini sermon.

 4. “A Saint and a Bolivian” – this little guy can be found painted all over the city. The hat he is wearing that comes down over his ears is called a ‘chulo’. I especially like the patriotic bunting fluttering in this tiny plazuela.

We live in a Catholic nation. Beyond that, we live an a spiritual nation. Much worship rises from the people to deities, saints, and spirits. Through rituals and holy days they pass traditions from one generation to the next. It does not surprise me that street artists engage in spiritual expression as well.
